Hal: You didn't know...
Jack: -I didn't listen. Carly was telling me the truth the entire time, but I threw it back in her face. I didn't want the facts. I wanted payback, I wanted her humiliated and abandoned, just like I was.
Hal: Carly's lied to you a hundred thousand times! you had every reason to doubt her.
Jack: Yeah but to hurt her? Again and again? Hey, why not -right? After all, I was the wronged party! I was the one who was dumped! I was JUSTIFIED and ENTITLED! [bangs fist on table] I said some things to her,Hal. I said some awful things... all that righteous indignation I threw at Carly was based on a lie... and now... [sighs]
