The largest Hard Drive that the laptop supports in the bios is 650MB, this capacity is to small by todays standards. My laptop is using a 1.4 Gig IBM Travelstar Hard Drive. To use this size or larger, I used MAXTOR MAX BLAST PLUS which I got from when I bought one of their PC Hard Drives. The program installed an EZ BIOS so that hard drive could be used with out being identified by the laptops own bios. You can download MAXTOR MAX BLAST PLUS at the their website.
A few people who have just picked up a LTE Lite ask were and how much memory can they add to the little laptop. There are two types that are used. The difference between the two is that one is 16bit for the 386 processor and the other is 32bit for the 486 prosessors. You can fit up to 16MB of ram to make the maximum of 20MB as the motherboard has 4MB already mounted to it. They both take the form of PCMCIA type 1 cards.
The little laptop can accept a modem which has to be specially made as it does not accept PCMCIA type 2/3 modems. I my self have only been able to get hold of a 9.6kbps modem which is far to slow for a reliable internet conection. The fastest internal modem made for this laptop is a 14.4kbps which should be more reliable but still very slow. You can of course fit an external serial modem ( NOT USB ) but you will need to plug in an external power supply.
