| November'97-Ottawa Rouso, Pops, Seiler and Ross start the band called "Size Small", they only play two shows before the end of school and Pops has to leave to go home to Toronto. A couple months later Pops convinces Rouso that it would be in his best interest to move to the T dot to resume the music that they had started in Ottawa. It takes Four months but finally Ross moves to Toronto to go to school and play in the newly formed trio the "TRI-LAMS". They play a bunch of shows with Toronto best bands including Marliyns Vitamins (RIP), Cnst. Brennan and even having Sum 41 open up for them in Bolten. They also got to play with international bands like Bomb Shell Rocks, Another Joe and many other artists. In June '98 they decided to go into the studio to record a selection of songs to be recorded by Simon Head of Red Fisher fame and Doug featuring members of SNFU and Treble Charger. By this time Pops enlist the help of his friend Tom to be a lead guitar and throw back-up vocals in, Tom's arrival is just in time to help with the back-up vocals on the record. The six songs recorded went out on Ductape Records with three other bands. Tom never actually played a live show with us but he would have brought a much needed intensity to the live show. In the summer of '99 Tom moved back home to help with the faimly business. The winter of '99 saw there good friend Seiler come back to his bandmates after a year and a half absence. Immediatley the band got to go and play the X-nex snowboard Championship in Okemo Vermont. The event was hosted by ESPN which saw the band get wide spread converge on the tele. Sept'00 the guys have enough material to record a full length record with Chris Hegge at AudioLab Recorders with the aid of Russ Rankin, lead singer and songwriter for the hardcore political band GOOD RIDDANCE, as producer. It only takes the guys two years but they finally release Nothing right, Nothing left on Tri-city records. The summer of 2000 saw a lot of heartbreak and frustration evoke within the personal relationships of some of the members. It was decided that we should pack things up and try our luck on the west coast. Dec'00 Seiler and Rouso head out west leaving behind Pops and Ross. In March of 2001 Pops pick up his life and moved out to join the boys on the westside. Unfortunetly our extremely funny and gifted bass player did not make the move to pursue his education. Enter Mike, he is a natural drummer with the skill in guitar but decides to pick up the bass to fill in. After Mike had moved on to the amazing band banner year, Geoff the hard playing, hard drinkin machine from Kamploops joins to complete the set-up. The Band now goes under the name of "company dime". Just finished recording another Ep at Rec-age Recorders with Nolan and assisted by Jesse Gander. To see pictures of the old Tri-lams click here |
