CD Duplication vs. CD Replication Technically, "CD Duplication" refers to burned CDs, whereas "CD Replication" refers to pressed CDs. The term "Duplication" is often used refer to either process. Absolute Disc can do either replication OR duplication. Replicated CDs are what you find in stores such as Sam Goody, Tower Records, etc. Companies that make CDs will duplicate runs of 500 or less, and replicate larger runs. Manufacturers have minimum runs of usually 500 or 1000 for replicated products.
