Can anyone recommend a house cleaning service? I was going to call
Merry Maids and have heard of Veronica's in Glover Park, but wondering
if anyone had any other suggestions?

Thanks!

DC "Special Tree" Permit process

Posted by: "bethmring" [email protected]   bethmring

We have a large tree (75" circumference) in close proximity to our
home, in reviewing the DC permit process (required to receive
permission to have it removed) the process seems complex and very
expensive. Does anyone have insight into the process? We would
certainly plant a new tree in our yard to replace the tree that we wish
to have removed, but according to the permit, we would have to plant 12
trees (our yard or others)or pay a hefty fee...

The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs' Permit Center will
be closed on Friday, March 30 for staff training on new procedures for
the agency's temporary Permit Center.

DCRA's Permit Center will also be closed during its regularly
scheduled extended hours on Saturday, March 31 between and 9:00 a.m. -
1:00 p.m.

The Permit Center will resume regular hours on Monday, April 2 at 8:15
a.m.

This closing is part of "DCRA – Making All the Right Moves" which will
bring District residents and businesses a new Permit Center. The
redesigned Permit Center will nearly double in size and allow
customers to have face-to-face meetings with engineers for Express Jobs.
