Ever desire to read a masterful memoir
by a local author? Well this isn't it. But it is a book
about my life, and I am a longtime resident of Friendship Heights.
As a photojournalist with US News & World Report I've spent much of
the last 17 years racing
from one news story to the next?from a squalid leper colony in India to
an American
research station on the Antarctic Peninsula, from the backrooms of the
White House to the
battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. "Evidence of My Existence" is my
memoir of these years,
a manic exposition on my life in photojournalism, and on the
consequences of my obsessive
wanderlust.
And though it doesn't include Richard Dorman conking me on the head
with a bottle of
fortified wine (yes, that was me), there are plenty other pitfalls to
keep your interest.
