leaking shower

I have a leaking shower. My handyman says that it is beyond his work
and that I need someone who can fix the problem but it would require
tearing off all the tiles to take care of the leak and then retiling.
Does anyone know someone reliable who can do that sort of work?

Theft of Copper Downspouts Occurring Again

From: Samantha Nolan <nolantutor@yahoo.com>

Dear Neighbors,

With your help, MPD was able to make two arrests for theft of copper
downspouts. Unfortunately, the two who were arrested are out on bail
(this is a misdemeanor) and we have had two more thefts in the past
week. We don't know for sure if they were involved though. Please be
on the lookout again for this theft occurring on your block.

If you see anyone removing downspouts from a house on your block, call
911 and say "There is a possible crime in progress." Give the address
and say that someone is removing a downspout and that you have been
told to call it in. If it is a legitimate roofer with a work order,
the officer will see that when he/she arrives. If not, this
individual will be arrested.

We are more likely to get jail time for these individuals, if the same
individual is arrested! for several offenses, especially if he is
arrested again while out on bail.

The two individuals already arrested for theft of downspouts where
Caucasian Males in their 40s. They grab the downspouts off the house
and fold them. They then stuff them into a car or van. The car used
the last time was stolen. Try to get a make/model and tag number, if
at all possible.

Thank you for your help.

Plans to Build Permanent Libraries

Demolition - All four closed libraries will be demolished by the end of
July 2007. As part of the Library's contract with the two D.C.-based
construction firms handling the four demolitions, appropriate debris
from the sites will be sent to recycling facilities. The contractors
will then prepare the four sites for new library construction.

Architect Selection - The evaluation process for the selection of the
architectural/engineering firm(s) that will design the new Anacostia,
Benning, Tenley and Watha T. Daniel/Shaw neighborhood libraries is
nearly complete. An announcement of the firms selected will be made
this summer.

Community Meetings - Meetings in each community are being scheduled.
The first was held for the new Anacostia Neighborhood Library on
Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 pm at the interim library in Anacostia.
