The position of Fleet Rep was introduced to the site in mid 2001 and was intended to further bridge the gap between CSS and the membership. Over time the position has become an important part of the members communication with the Command Staff, representing the interests of every member to the CSS at meetings and over the CSS mailing list. The Fleet Rep also acts as CSS’s representative to the membership of Section 47. Offering advice and help to Admirals and Ensigns has made them an core position in Section 47. The fleet rep is elected every three months by the general membership.
