During his time at the Daystrom Institute, was involved in numerous research
projects, ranging from the observation of distant dark-matter galaxies to the
development of subspace transporters (this particular project yielded negative
results). Invited to speak at the founding ceremony of theBrunel Institute of
Propulsion Technologies in early 2374. Left the Daystrom Institute in 2374 to
accept post on Starship Development Project at the Omicron Fleet Yards. Spent
next 8 years working on experimental starship classes, during which time he
accepted a Starfleet commission at the rank of Ensign. Recieved innumerable
commendations and citations forexcellence during this time. Transferred back
to the Daystrom Institute in 2382 to head research project into the application
of string theory to bio-quantum computing. In 2386, due to his work on the Omicron
battleship projects, was approached by Starfleet's elite Section 47.

Medical Record
There is very little medical information on record for Elron. He has never experienced any serious illness or injury and, as is characteristic of his species, has a strong immune system. It has been noted that Elron has a tendency to avoid Sickbay, preferring to treat any minor injury himself. He has no known allergies, and keeps in perfect health with various forms of exercise (see Interests). Although his biological age is 57, being an Avari with a life expectancy of about 250 this is equivalent in appearance and stature to a human in his late twenties.
Species Biology:
The Avari are an unusually warm-blooded species and have evolved to cope with the cool surface conditions of their home planet. They have developed a thick, insulating layer in the epidermis of the skin, which causes them to appear very pale. Avari blood is blue, causing a slight blue coloration in the skin, and is incompatible with human blood due to totally dissimilar blood chemistry. Another feature of Avari physiology is a strong but flexible ridge of bone-like tissue that runs down the back, protecting the spine from injury and heat loss. Avari have no sweat glands and so do not perspire. They are an energetic species, however, and reduce their body temperature when necessary by releasing excess heat through normal respiration and altering their metabolism.
Psychological Profile:
Elron has described himself as "very much a child of the 24th century". He has a natural aptitude for technology and is always interested in the latest developments. This interest is what prompted him to pursue a science career. He does, however, occasionally like to get away from the bustle of life in the 24th century to clear his head by exploring the many mountain ranges in the Federation. Elron likes to keep most things in order and has displayed some resistance to change. He never the less shows much initiative and an aptitude for lateral thinking. Elron is fiercely independent and sometimes has trouble asking others for help. He has never been one to easily accept the commands of others and in his early Starfleet days had trouble fitting in to the somewhat stricter regime required of a Starfleet Officer. He has since grown accustomed to the ways of Starfleet and has proven an extremely reliable officer. It has been noted, however, that he still has a tendency to display rebellious qualities from time to time. Deeper psychological analysis is required before his attitude and way of thinking can be fully understood.
Interests
Elron is interested
in Physics; Computing; Reading; Playing Guitar; Greek Mythology; Mountaineering;
Holodeck Adventures; Badminton; Elron is a member of various science institutions.
These responsibilities have become lower priorities since his promotion to Captain
of the BlackTulip, but he still spends much of his own time dealing with his
scientific commitments. Over the years he has achieved a third-level pilot certificate,
and is a qualified mountaineering instructor. Elron enjoys taking part in sports
including Badminton, Snooker and Athletics. He takes an active interest in interstellar
politics and recieves continual updates on the current issues. One of his favourite
holographic recreations is based on a series of films from around the turn of
the 21st century known as the Star Wars saga, in which he plays the part of
a Jedi Knight with mystical, paranormal powers.
Additional Notes
The Avari are a humanoid species originally from the planet
Valinor, a Class-M world on the edge of the Beta Quadrant whose capital cities
are Tulkas City and Quenya. The Avari developed interstellar travel some time
before Earth and briefly established a small empire spanning several hundred
light-years. They later joined the United Federation of Planets. Well known
for their scientific advancements, Avari society is not very aggressive and
quickly established good relations with nearby cultures. Valinor's higher gravitational
field means Avari have a physical strength more than twice that of humans. Although
slow to anger, they are deadly in combat when necessary with a ferocity to rival
any Klingon's and a strength to rival any Vulcan's. Avari favour cool conditions,
disliking intense heat, and have a large appetite. An Avari's emotions cannot
be read empathically by Betazoids. The average life span for an Avari is around
250 years.

southern continent of the Trill Homeworld.At 14 Magellan visited the Caves of
Mak'ala and was so amazed by the Symbiont Pools he decide that he wanted to
become joined.When he turned 18 he entered university to study Interstellar
Business Management and applied to the Initiate Program. His application was
rejected on the grounds that he was too young. Magellan became unsettled at
University and eventually dropped out. Against his parent's wishes he travelled
to Earth and joined Starfleet.On graduation Magellan missed most of his field
training assignment when the Symbiosis Commission recalled him to Trill.The
Commission had followed his career since his initial application and now found
him suitable for entry in to the Initiate Programme. He took a sabbatical from
Starfleet and studied at the Commission. His field docent was Dr Lenera Khan,
she was pleased with his progress and 3 weeks before his 21st birthday he was
accepted by the Evaluation Board and joined to the Symbiont, Lin. After some
integration counselling Magellan returned to active Starfleet duty.

Starfleet Medical. Magellan is a logical, scientific and ordered person. He
is very efficient and methodical in his work. There is however some concern
that he may experience some integration issues. Magellan is the Symbiont Lins
second host. The first was Toya Lin. Toya was a female Exo-ecologist serving
on the Federation Council of Exo-Biology. Once their personalities merge Magellan
has expressed less enthusiasm for temporal mechanics and has inheirted many
of Toyas technophobic tendancies.
