April Notes
Old Buisness - Finances, Candy bar sales, cook books  ( it was decided that the troop will buy candy bars from a different source this time and we would alsostart collecting info for the cook book fundraiser  Please submitt recipes so Mrs. Coe and I can compile them all and get them published.

New Buisness - The commitee voted on and approved a new Assistant Scoutmaster Mr. Belding will soon be joining us!

Boys Concerns -
1. Almost all of the boys approved of Mr. Belding joining us as an assistant
2. Would like more activities such as magic card tournaments, (committee approved if it is a scout related game)
3. Boys would like to continue to plan their own meals at camp outs and shop by patrol. (approved by committee with the understanding that they stay within thier spending limit and an adult will go over the menu and make necessary changes with boys as needed)
4. Boys asked if Cd players are allowed to and from camps ( committee decided they are allowed as long as a responsible adult takes charge of them while at camp)
5. Boys requsted more organised meetings (committees response was they need to coperate more and that will caome along with that)
6.Boys expressed they do not like reading the letters from the internet at meetings and are tired of lectures - they would like more hands on learning. (Scoutmasters discussed and are working on better program planning)                  
7.Boys voted out carwash fundraiser
8. Boys would like all By-Law changes submitted and updated
9.smoking by adults around boys- Scoutmasters and Parents will have a designated smoking area at every function and it is to be followed.

Other topics discussed by committee

1.  For every discaplinary action taken against a boy the parents will be notified - even if it is for a small incident and they will be documented in thier folder so appropriate action can be taken by the committee.

2 Gullivers camp out was briefly dicussed

3.June camp out - Lake Goerge has been posponed until further notice due to a lack of funds in the account.  The committee is offering instead a weekend of canoeing skills  and water fun for the weekend in June ,  With a 50 mile canoe trip planned for August.

4. Spring Camporee-   May 17-19 Onieda Shores  arrow park.

5. Summer camp - no treck due to a lack of boys qualified to go - Must have a total of atleast 6 and due to our boys working thier we are short of boys old enough to go.
