"The One" Marcus Crosse
v
"Electric" Jake Starr w/ Kym Moon
Single Match
referee: John Dee
Lisa Parker: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, first making his way to the ring... weighing 189 lbs, "The One" Marcus Crosse!
"The One" by Nelly hits the PA System as Marcus Crosse approaches from behind the curtains, stepping forward into the light as the crowd give a small cheer for Marcus Crosse who has made a strong impression in the first few weeks of the return of the UwF.
James Brendon: This match will not be for the weak of heart Paul.
Paul Masters: Indeed James. Both men seem somewhat arrogant, but I love it. You got to have arrogance, cockiness and most of all confidence in succeeding here in the UwF.
James Brendon: Lets hope this match gets the time it needs. Both men are very talented athletes.
Lisa Parker: And his opponent...
Marcus Crosse enters the ring, bouncing off the ropes, jogging on one spot as "Danger! High Voltage!" by Electric Six hits the loud speakers. Out comes Jake Starr...
Lisa Parker: ... weighing in at 180 lbs, being accompanied to the ring by Kym Moon... "Electric" Jake Starr!
The crowd again, cheer ecstatically as Jake wastes no time sprinting to the ring, with determination. He slides under the ropes, at full head of steam and nails a spear takedown to Marcus Crosse, pounding away with some deadly forearm shots to the face as referee, John Dee looks on. The crowd cheer loudly, male whistles heard as Kym Moon has reached the ring, slamming her fist on the mat repeatedly, supporting her man.
James Brendon: Wow, Kym Moon looking absolutely stunning tonight.
Paul Masters: I love that little skirt and I love that ass.
James Brendon: You perv Paul, don't you ever grow up?
Paul Masters: Oh come on James, don't act as if you don't want some of Kym...
James Brendon: I'm a happily married man I'll have you know.
Paul Masters: Thats what they all say James.
James Brendon: Whatever Paul, back to the match...
Jake Starr is taking it to Marcus Crosse, lifting him to his feet and whipping him into the corner with velocity. Marcus Crosse's back smashes hard into the turnbuckle as he collapses to the floor. Marcus lifts his head up but receives a devastating dropkick to the jaw. Marcus immediately reacts by grabbing his jaw as Jake quickly goes for the early pinfall attempt, 1... 2.. kickout!
James Brendon: That was a spectacular move on the part of Jake Starr, Paul.
Paul Masters: But also a foolish one James. Jake should know better than to try and end this match early.
James Brendon: Still, it weakens your opponent, as they have to use some of their energy for the kickout.
Jake picks up Marcus, a smug look expressed across his face as out of no where, Marcus nails an enziguri to the back of Jake Starrs head, knocking Jakes to the floor. Kym Moon looks on in disbelief as Marcus picks up a now vulnerable Jake Starr and nails a DDT. Marcus however, doesn't go for the cover, and instead climbs to the outside. Marcus heads upstairs, climbing up the ropes, awaiting for Jake to get up. Kym takes the opportunity to hop onto the apron, to try and distract Marcus, which works. Kym slowly, does a little lap dance on the apron, lifting up her skirt to reveal a thong. The male part of the crowd cheer wildly as Marcus shouts "What the hell are you doing!?"
Paul Masters: What is she doing? She's giving us a show! A hot show!
James Brendon: Oh my.
Jake Starr notices Marcus is not concentrating on the match, and uses this distraction to his advantage, hopping up to the top rope, meeting Marcus Crosse and nailing a top rope hurricuranna from the top rope. Marcus lands hard, clutching his neck as Kym Moon jumps off the apron. Jake Starr, now begins to climb up top, and without hesitation nails Marcus with a twisting frog splash. The crowd jump of their seats, stunned by the high flying move performed by "Electric" Jake Starr. Jake goes for the lariet, 1... 2... no! Kickout at the last second.
James Brendon: I'm speechless. What was that?
Paul Masters: A risk, and it paid off.
Jake Starr picks up Marcus Crosse, nailing a dragon suplex, into a float over cover, 1... 2... again, another kickout by Marcus Crosse, but this time, with not much force.
Paul Masters: The energy is being drained from Marcus Crosse's body.
James Brendon: Smart tactics being used by Jake Starr here. Wearing down Marcus Crosse, going for the pinfall, hitting high impact moves.
Jake Starr seems a bit frustrated at this point with Marcus refusing to stay down. Marcus Crosse nails some hard shots to the guts of Jake Starr. "The One" follows up with a swinging neckbreaker, taking both men to the ground. Kym looks on, shocked. She begins slapping the mat as the fans clap along with her, getting into the match.
James Brendon: Whoever gets to their feet first will surely have the advantage.
Jake Starr looks a bit groggy as Marcus Crosse gets to his feet first and out of no where nails a snap DDT to Jake Starr, driving Starr's head deep into the canvas below. Marcus nips up to his feet, picking Jake up and hitting a suplex. Marcus lifts Jake back to his feet, whipping him into the ropes and on Jake's return hits a beautiful snap dropkick to the chin of Starr. Marcus begs for Jake to get back up, which Jake does but gets a flying forearm for his troubles. Marcus jumps to the top rope, taunting Starr and comes off with a top rope Bulldog, followed by a quick pinfall, 1... 2... thre- no! Jake just gets his shoulder up.
James Brendon: That was a close one Paul.
Paul Masters: Sure was JB.
Marcus slaps the mat, telling referee, John Dee he wanted a three count. Marcus picks up Jake and nails a Northern lights suplex with the bridge, 1... 2... Jake manages to lift his whole body up, with Marcus on top, reversing around, into a backslide, 1... 2... kickout. Both men spring to their feet at the same time and hit each other with a double clothesline, knocking the wind out of each men. John Dee begins his 10 count.
James Brendon: Both men are really giving it their all.
1... 2... 3... 4... Marcus begins to get to his feet... 5... 6... 7... 8... Jake Starr slowly moves, using the ropes for leverage... 9... both men get to a vertical base. Marcus takes the legs of Jake Starr, and tries to lock in the sharpshooter, but Jake twists around, ending up with Marcus spinning 360 degrees, landing on the mat hard. Jake Starr gets to his feet, charges at Marcus Crosse, nailing an explosive spinning wheel kick, followed up with head scissors, then the running ax bomber! The cover, 1... 2... no!
Paul Masters: Can anyone keep up with this match? I can't!
Jake Starr climbs up top, coming off with a corkscrew moonsault to perfection, knocking Marcus back down. Marcus staggers back to his feet however, not allowing Jake to go for the cover, but this enables Jake to hit a clothesline. Jake follows up with the Quebrada. But Jake isn't finished yet. Jake climbs once again to the top rope as Kim cheers him on. The crowd begin to get behind Jake as he comes off, nailing the Bolt from the Blue!
James Brendon: He hit it! Bolt from the Blue! Its over Paul!
Jake drags an arm over the chest of Marcus, 1... 2... kickout! The crowd applaud the resilience of Marcus Crosse, who somehow is getting back to his feet. Jake can't believe it neither as he nails some hard shots to the face of Marcus, who falls back into the ropes, but out of no where, bursts out with a huge side belly to belly suplex to Starr. Crosse makes his way back up as the crowd begin to support him now as Kim shouts at Starr.
James Brendon: Looks like Marcus is back in control.
Paul Masters: Just when your about to count Marcus out, he fights back.
Marcus Crosse lifts Jake Starr to his feet and almost sudden hits the Crosse of Death! The fans cheer as Marcus crawls over for the cover, 1... 2... Jake gets the shoulder up! Marcus holds his head in shock. Questioning on how Jake Starr kicked out of one of his signature moves. Marcus though, begins to smile as he lifts Jake Starr back to his feet, wrapping his right arm around the neck of Jake Starr. Marcus grabs the tights of Jake Starr and with all his strength, lifts Jake up as if going for a suplex, but ends up swinging him around with a modified version of the Crosse of Death!
Paul Masters: What the hell was that!?
James Brendon: Say goodnight because nobody's home. Jake Starr must be in la la land right now.
Paul Masters: I'll say it again... what the hell was that!?
James Brendon: A version of the Crosse of Death... I think.
Marcus begins taunting to the crowd, receiving a mixed reaction as he heads over to one corner, stamping his right foot on the ground. The crowd knows whats coming as Kym shouts at Jake to be aware. Jake makes his way to his feet, turns around and Marcus looks for the Marcus Kick! But Jake Starr grabs the foot of Marcus, spins his body around, kicks Marcus in the gut. Marcus, now doubled over, doesn't know whats install as Jake Starr nails the devastating E.S.T!!!
James Brendon: Electric Shock Treatment! He hit it Paul!
Jake Starr with the cover on Marcus Crosse, 1... 2... 3! The bell rings to signal the end of a classic match.
Lisa Parker: The winner of the match, by pinfall, "Electric" Jake Starr!!
The crowd cheer as Kym enters the ring to raise the hand of Jake Starr. Kym though pulls Jake in for a celebration, passionate kiss as the crowd cheer. Jake Starr looks at Kym Moon, with a big smile on his face. Kym licks her lips as both raise their hands in triumph.
James Brendon: Nice to see Jake with the hard fought victory.
Paul Masters: Both men tried extremely hard, but it was Jake who prevailed. There is a reason why they call him "Electric" James
James Brendon: There was certainly electricity running throughout this match.
Marcus, realizing his defeat looks on as Jake Starr and Kym Moon walk up the ramp. Marcus manages to gain his footing as he receives a huge ovation for his efforts. Marcus looks down at the floor, as if ashamed, but then looks back up, smashing his chest, soaking in the chants and the cheers.
James Brendon: He gave it his all Paul but came up short.
Paul Masters: I must admit, he does really deserve these cheers. He put on one hell of a performance.
James Brendon: But in the end, it just wasnt enough. And Jake Starr walks off with a debut win.
Paul Masters: Things are getting pretty interesting here.
James Brendon: Right you are, Paul!
Just then, Tim Shadys music plays, and Tim Shady makes his way to the ring.
Tim Shady: Now, I know you were all waiting for an exciting main event. Well, once again, I must apologize, because the previous match was tonights main event.
James Brendon: What?
Paul Masters: Whats going on here?
Tim Shady: I would like to ask Corey Farmer to come to ringside.
Corey Farmers music plays, as Corey Farmer makes his way ringside.
Tim Shady: Mr. Farmer, unfortunately, due to contract difficulties, SMC has been released by the UwF. And I didnt find out in time to give you a replace opponent. However, I have noticed the tremendous talent that you have. So, I will leave you, and everyone else here in the arena, with this thought: Next week on Rage, I will be announcing matches for UwF Genesis, our first Pay Per View, which will take place on April 04, 2004, in the Idaho Center in Boise, Idaho. And you will be most interested in seeing just what I have planned for you.
With that, he claps Corey Farmer on the shoulder, and exits the ring, leaving Corey Farmer in the middle of the ring with thoughts.
James Brendon: What kind of match does he have set for Corey Farmer?
Paul Masters: Forget about that! Our first Pay Per View. And Tim Shady is announcing the card next week! I cant wait!
James Brendon: Unfortunately, Paul, you are going to have to, like the rest of us.
Paul Masters: Too bad it isnt in Nevada, could have placed some bets
James Brendon: Paul, you are incorrigible.
Just then, Spineshankss Beginning of the End plays over the PA system, and Eliminator appears at the top of the entrance ramp.
Paul Masters: Looks like someone else cant wait to find out, either!
James Brendon: I dont think he is here to talk, Paul.
Eliminator makes his way to ringside, and slides in the ring. He stands there, eye to eye with Corey Farmer. Then, they shake hands, and Eliminator raises the arm of Corey Farmer.
Eliminator: You are witnessing the beginning of a new era in wrestling! You are witnessing a union of two of the best superstars in the entire UWF... This is the beginning of the Godly Tempest!
With that, they both leave the ring.
James Brendon: Oh my god! Eliminator and Corey Farmer?!
Paul Masters: Now that is a team up that I never would have seen coming.
James Brendon: That makes two of us!
Paul Masters: Well, more than that, if you go by the looks of the fans.
James Brendon: Well, folks, our time has just about run out. Join us next week, when we have our last show in Nevada. We will be broadcasting live from Reno, Nevada.
Paul Masters: Last chance for me to make a few bucks
James Brendon: See you next week, folks!
Paul Masters: Same time, same channel!
James Brendon: This is James Brendon, and for Captain Clich, well see you next week!
Paul Masters: You want to get hit?
