Dear Student:

The Communication Studies Department would like to personally invite you to participate in the communication apprehension desensitization lab. This FREE program is designed to enable apprehensive speakers to contend with their fear or "stage fright." It will not take that fear completely away, but the results from past participants shows dramatic results.

Please consider this option, as it will help you in your communication class as well as later in life. Each session is just under one hour, and you must commit to the seven-week program. The lab meets in Terrill Hall, room 325, and will start the week of January 28th. We are also offering 25 points extra credit on your persuasive speech if you complete the full seven weeks of the lab.

There are several openings available now. Please number your choices (i.e., first choice = 1; second choice = 2; etc.), scratch out the times that you are absolutely not available, and give this sheet back to your teaching assistant, or place it in TJ Brown’s box in Terrill Hall 215 as soon as possible. These labs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and they fill up very quickly. You will receive an e-mail telling you when you are scheduled to participate in a lab by January 25th. You can also access the lab assignment list by going to www.geocities.com/commaplab.
