Compatriot Gregory Allen Sheets died Friday, 15 December 2000, at Avante Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Melbourne, Florida from complications from diabetes. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a Member of the Murray Masonic Lodge #175 in Bumpass, Virginia and a Member of the Matthew Fontaine Maury Camp #1722 Sons of Confederate Veterans in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Compatriot Sheets was burried on Friday, 22 December at 12 noon at the Quantico National Cemetery.
