Shuttle/Runabout Pilot
All small spacecraft aboard a Starship or Starbase (Shuttles, Runabouts, Captain's yacht etc.) are flown by Shuttle Pilots. This is often the proving ground for new Helm Officers until they earn a berth on a Starship. Her/his direct superior is the Chief Shuttle/Runabout Pilot.
If the Vessel has a Flight Deck, Shuttle Pilots are in the Flight Deck detachment, under the command of the Wing Commander, else they are Bridge Staff, under the Command of the Helm Department.
