I've loved Luke, ever since we (as an audience) found out about him in "Invocation," season eight. We find out even more in "Per Manum," when we have flashbacks of Doggett's discovery of his son's body, with Monica Reyes there. Later, in "Empedocles," we find out more about the investigation of Luke's disapperance and subsequent murder :'(, and how Monica and John met through that.

This season, in season nine, we see in "John Doe" footage of Luke, alive, riding his bike for his daddy. We also hear Reyes's very abridged explanation of what happened, in the warehouse/bus scene, and afterwards.

I love Luke. He is truly an adorable child. Murder of children is one of the cruelest crimes, ever. "He was just a little boy..." -Doggett, crying. "John Doe."
