The Chesire Cat wasn't really a cat...he was just another warped creation of Alice's strange little mind. She must have really been on some awesome mind-expanding drugs or something to have come up with some of the crap that she came up with.
The Chesire Cat had the ability to appear and disappear into thin air, the abilty to remove his own head, and the ability to morph his body and unravel his own stripes and such. He would oftentimes disappear, leaving only the image of his glowing eyes and toothy grin.
So why is he added to the hall you ask? It's simple actually...He was a nuisance. He knowingly was out to confuse the hell out of Alice and send her off in the wrong direction. He also got her a bad wrap with the Queen of Hearts, knowing that poor Alice would most certainly lose her head as a result. |
