Desperate Dreaming With a step up
And a brief nod hello,
My response flashes left,
It can only show,
The feelings,
The hurt,
The desperate dreaming,
Hold back,
Don't show it,
He'll see the meaning.

A short coversation,
Showing little input,
lack of sensation,
Until hours on,
A smile,
A laugh,
A strong connection,
Addmittance,
Perhaps,
A hint of affection.

But later on,
Earlier repeats,
Can he see what I see,
Through the darkened sheets?
The feelings,
The hurt,
The desperate dreaming,
Hold back,
Don't show it,
He'll see the meaning.

Then embarrassed farewells,
And glances behind,
One last look,
But what do I find?
Another,
Laughter,
Just like with me,
Jealousy,
It floods,
He's bound to see.

But on returning,
He beckons be over,
The sensation is burning,
He'll feel the heat,
The feelings,
The hurt,
The desperate dreaming,
Hold back,
Don't show it,
He'll see the meaning.
