The Meeting He arrived with surprise,
but not without expectation,
Sending my ody into a state of sedation.

Awkward silences and avoiding our problem,
Cheeky comments,
Playful fighting,
perhaps a blush under the moody lighting.

Nothing became,
but a small embrace,
mixed up feelings and a saddened face.

Walking away without looking back,
I wondered how long it would take him to crack,
Through the doubt and out of the dark,
Give into the urge and ignite the spark.
