RUBY SOPHRONIA HARPER
She was born in Sprague, Wasington July 27 1897. She was the oldest of five children. She started raising brothers and sisters at a very early age.
She married Albert Roy Walker when she was seventeen. They were married in Walla Walla, Washington.
She had her first child when she was nineteen. Melvin Troy Walker was born in Athena, Oregon May 11, 1916. She took care of her mother-in-law, Scharlottie Walker, until Scharlottie's death in 1921.
In 1927 she and her husband Roy moved to Port Angeles, Washington. Roy was a carpenter by trade.
on August 8, 1928 their second child, Me, Elma LaBelle Walker, was born. Four years later July 30,1932 Mary Lou Walker was born.On July 19,1933 another daughter came along She was named Alberta Lee Walker.On August 14,1936 a son Albert William WAlker was born
Melvin Troy had a small watch repair shop in Port Angeles on first street.He Passed away in December 3 1939 with osteomalitis. He was 23 1/2 years of age.
Roy lived to be 57 and died in 1947 with myocarditis.
Ruby remarried and she died at age of 83 in December 22.1980. Doctor said she was just tired of living.
