CN : What was the best piece of advise you received on your way up the comedy ladder and what advise would you now give to others?
JA : As far as advise I've been given and advise I would give... two simple things. First... always BE YOURSELF!!! A very funny comic Scott Harris told me this. Just go up the and be you. The crowd will enjoy it. No need to be bigger than you are. The second piece of advise came from my comic mentor Mike Wilmont. "Just do Jokes!!! The crowd will catch up." Often times I would worry the crowd won't enjoy my set. He said, "They get into your set if they believe in your act. So always be true to yourself."
CN : Have you ever considered walking away from the whole comedy scene? If so, when and why?
JA : Yup!!! Who hasn't. But as I said... it's what I was meant to do.
CN : How much time to you set aside per week to write?
JA : When it comes to writing...I do not spend enough time doing so. You should do it everyday. I'm a streak writer. I'll write for days straight when I'm inspired... then not for a while. Not a good practice if you want to improve.
CN : What are your thoughts about the Montreal Comedy News On-Line? (Trick question!)
