MOVE IN MY DIRECTION
12 years after their last UK release, Bananarama returned to the airwaves in the summer of 2005 and released MOVE IN MY DIRECTION. The promotion for the single was astounding! The girl's single premiered on Radio One, and they showed up on TV everywhere, with interviews on GMTV, Lorraine Kelly and a spot on Top of the Pops! The single was released on two CDs and 7" which included mixes of the single and a remix of their 1986 hit VENUS, remixed by Malc Almond. It was a treat to see the 'Nanas back on TV after their absense, and the single is among the fans' favourites.
LYRICS

Its been seven days since my last confession
And I really dont know where to begin
I shouldve called a taxi, shouldve gone straight home
We could just stay here and no one will know

Move in my direction, Ill show you where to go
Wont you move in my direction, real slow
Wont you move in my direction Ill show you where to go
Wont you move in my direction, real slow

Dont you know that you are my fascination?
And I just cant wait to do it all again
I shouldve left the party, shouldve left alone
But I want you too much I couldnt say no

Move in my direction, Ill show you where to go
Wont you move in my direction, real slow
(No one knows, Im not coming home, tonight)
Wont you move in my direction, show you where to go
(Why does wrong feel so right?)
Wont you move in my direction, real slow

Why does wrong (why does wrong)
Feel so right (feel so right)?

Move in my direction, Ill show you where to go
Wont you move in my direction, real slow
(No one knows, Im not coming home, tonight)
Wont you move in my direction, Ill show you where to go
(Why does wrong feel so right?)
Wont you move in my direction, real slow

(No one knows, Im not coming home, tonight)
Move in my direction, Ill show you where to go
(Why does wrong feel so right?)
Wont you move in my direction, real slow

THE VIDEO

Set in a sunny, urban locoation, the girls sing along to the single whist watching a cowboy and woman dancing to the track. Throughout, they wonder around the streets aimlessly.
