Situation After a prolonged fight for indepence in ET from Indonesian and Portuuese goverment, Timoreses were eventually given a referendum to determine their own future of being selft-governed or under the Indonesian goverment. 78% of the voted for their independence. As a result the MILITIA who wants ET to be part of Indonesia, had started to kill, burn buildings and destroy the infratrusture in ET leaving a trail of death and destruction. As the humanitarian crisis rapidly erupted, ET people had struggled for their safety and had to take refuge to WT.(West Timor) Today we will give peace for all people and humanity in ET. |
