| About Holloa Away Farm: Holloa Away Farm, like many things, started as an idea. The idea officially started in 2000, when Ms. Kelly Gage started training and competing dressage. Even though she rode the "big horses" and did well, she always had a fondness, and appreciation for their smaller, equally athletic counterparts, ponies. While smaller, (officially 14.2 hands is cut off point for a pony), they are equal in the talent department, often outdoing larger horses in the dressage arena. It was in 2001 when the idea for Holloa Away truly started. After receiving her first pony, Ms. Gage understood the demand for a small horse, that could have big horse gaits. Holloa Away was born October 30th upon that realization. Since then Ms. Gage has been dedicated to training, and hopefully eventually raising sport (or reit) ponies equal to the challenge of a dressage test, but maintaining a palatable temperament and friendly size. So, with this passionate pursuit, Holloa Away begins its journey. |
