| Glenhaven's Atherton is the youngest edition to HAF. Purchased, rather unexpectedly in 2003, by Ms. Gage and her mother Rosanna Taylor-Gage, he has quickly made himself at home in Blue Grass and the heart of Ms. Gage. While Ms. Gage was not looking for another pony, she quickly found herself being impressed by the young prospect on tape, with his correct conformation, impeccable movement, as well as his famous pedigree, which boasts many Royal and Grand National Champions, as well as some of the most influenctial sire lines in America and abroad. His sire, *Derwen Denmark, was ranked #3 in the nation for Welsh Cob sires, and his dam is universally known throughout welsh cob circles. Even though he is royally bred, he does not behave like a young prince who is destined for something great. Friendly, eager, inquisitive, bold, yet tractable, he exemplifies a superb standard of a welsh cob. However, under saddle he is a prima donna, often showing off to his admirers and impressing those who have yet to become one.. He is currently training under saddle and being prepped for a season of sport horse in hand. |
