| The VIP Protection Course |
| This course is specialized with the emphasis on proper planning and training as agents are direclty responsible for peoples' lives. What also makes our course unique is that the prospective VIP Protection agents can either do the course on a full time basis, or complete the theoretical part of the course via correspondence then completing the practical part of the course over a period of a week intensive training. many clients choose the latter option, as this does not interfere with the prospective VIP Protectors' daily routine over an extended period. After completion of the theoretical part of the course the prospective VIP Protection agent must pass a written exam and obtain a minimum of 80% before he/she qualifies to attend the practical part of the course. |
| The Curriculum of the Course |
| The theoretical part of the course includes: All lectures are sub-divided into chapters, and have set aims and objectives that guide the prospective CIP Protection agent to unerstand the most important aspects contained in every chapter. The VIP Protector - Who, why, how, characteristics, duties, protocol, etiquette, cultures and illegal activities Limitations of - Working solo, driving, on foot and authority The Principal/VIP Protector relationship - Various categories of clinets/professionalism Knowing the enemy - Statistics and job preparation Planning - Threat assessment, residence evaluation, orders, needs analysis and final dexision making Advance work - Counter sniping, vehicle and building searches, check lists and methodology Explosives - Identification, classification, car bombs, letter bombs and counter measures Security systems - physical, electronic, guarding, residential, as well as security procedures Close protection drills - Formations and various situations Engagements - Socials, special events, hosting events, long range planning and check lists First aid and medical emergencies - Bleeding, cramps, ligament tears, fractures, hyperthermia, hypothermia, bandaging, strapping, wrapping burns, choking, heart attack, EAR adn CPR Firearm training - Weapon carrying, use of force, safety rules, drawing, tunnel vision, reloading, malfunctions, and gunfight survival Driver training - vehicle selection and modification, armored vehicles and driving techniques |
| The practical part of the course includes: During this part of the course the main theoretical points peratining to specific tasks are revised and all the subjects are practically trained and rehearsed Etiquette and protocols with regard to a VIP Protection agent Threat Assessment, planning, orders and briefing Vehicle protocols, convoy drills, searches and driving techniques Ambush identificaiton, drills and avoidance Vehicle entry and de-bussing techniques Hand grenade identification and drills Foot formations, drills and space control In house tactical movement and searches Firearm training - Basics, stances, target identification and firing, stoppage and proficiency drills, evacuation and fire drills, firing from within a vehicle, de-bussing and using cover while firing and the use of various firearms for specific circumstances Grappling, locks and the usage of a knife Body alarm reaction and fear handling Presentation of VIP Protection case study exercise Doing a simulated "real life operation" First aid, injury wrapping and strapping, EAR and CPR |
