| The Combat Marines Motorcycle Club, CMMC, was founded as a motorcycle club dedicated to U.S. Marines from all wars especially the fallen warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice. Marines who faced the adversities of a combat milieu share an unemulated bond, which transcends any human experience known to man. Any Marine who has fought in combat has earned the right to petition for membership. CMMC colors are symbolic of the sacrifices and battlefield experiences of the Marine warrior. The combat action ribbon is the prerequisite to obtaining regular membership in the Combat Marines motorcycle club. The CMMC claims no territory and has a constitutional right to freely ride the roads of the United States of America as law abiding citizens. The CMMC is not a 1%er club and has no intentions of becoming one. Members come from all walks of life and share at least two noteworthy bonds: combat action as Marines and an appreciation of motorcycling. | Note: Though many of the Confederation of Clubs Chapters are apparently advocates for motorcyclist rights and the elimination of discrimination against motorcycle riders, the Combat Marines Motorcycle Club has elected not to seek membership in the Confederation of Clubs. Thus the CMMC has not applied for membership in the COC particularly because there are COC chapters, such as the North Florida COC, that practices motorcycle club discrimination by not allowing membership to any clubs who have members with arrest powers. Unlike the North Fla COC, the CMMC does not discriminate against law enforcement officers. A combat Marine who is a law enforcement officer is entitled to apply for membership in the CMMC. All honorably discharged combat Marines or active duty combat Marines who are avid motorcyclists are eligible and are encouraged to apply for membership in the Combat Marines Motorcycle Club. Full membership is contingent on the successful completion of a one year probabationay period and the approval of the membership board. |
