Tourist visas valid for six-month and one year stay are available. The cost is $30 for US Nationals and $10 for other nationals. Pay in cash. $100 bills also are not accepted.

Bring green card to expedite issuance of visa. If apply before 12 noon, will receive visa that evening.

If not a permanent resident, need references from country of residence (which will cost an additional $20). Such applications take five to seven working days.

Applications are received at the counter between 9:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Normally, U.S. passports are processed the same day. Passports with valid visas affixed can be collected at the counter between 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

Applications received by mail may take up to five working days to process. This is excluding the time taken in mail both ways. Please do not send pre-paid envelopes. Please also note that personal checksare not accepted.

Require a certificate of reception from a Chinese travel service and the airline ticket to the country (region) after leaving China. The visa costs $45 for six-month, double-entry visa.

An approval notice from China Tibet Tourism Bureau for applying for a visa to travel to Tibet (Telephone number of China Tibet Tourism Bureau: 86-891-6834313. fax number: 86-891-6834632).

Application and passports must be received by the Visa Office no later than 30 days, but no earlier than 90 days prior to your departure date.

Normally visa may be picked up on the fourth working day since the date of the application. The rush fee is $30 for the same-day pick-up (application must be submitted before 12 noon). Please pay in cash or Money Order (made payable to Consulate General of P.R.China). Personal check is unacceptable.

We accept visa application by mail. Please provide a cover letter listing items being mailed and your daytime telephone number. Also send one self-addressed and fully prepaid Express Mail label and envelop. An additional US$5 will be charged for the handling (Please send Money Order for all fees payable to the Chinese Consulate General). Apply at least one month before the applicant departs from USA.

Tourist visas will be granted only for single entry with a maximum stay in Vietnam of one month.

Visas can be applied by mail or in person at the Embassy of Vietnam up to six months prior to the date of travel.

The original passport; one completed application form with one passport-size photograph stapled or glued firmly to the application form. self-addressed stamped envelope if the passport and visa are to be returned by mail. The Embassy will also return passports and visas by other mailing services, such as FedEx, UPS, DHL or U.S. Postal Service Express mail. If these alternate mailing services are desired, applicant must provide appropriate mailing labels and account numbers.

Five business days are required to process normal visa applications. Expedited applications are processed in two business days after the Embassy receives the applications (additional fee required).

See attached file for visa requirements. Looks like we only need to apply in advance for India, China and Vietnam. I'll find out the exact process. Let me know if I missed anywhere.

Visa Requirements:-

Tahiti (Fr Polynesia): None (90 days for Europeans, 30 days for Americans).
Cook Islands: None (need proof of booked accomodation).
Vanuatu: None (30 days).
New Zealand: None.
Australia: Visa needed, but the travel agent can do it electronically when you book your ticket. (3 month visa)
Singapore: None (14 days).
Malaysia: None (2 months).
Thailand: None (30 days), apply in advance for 60 day visa.
India: Apply in advance for 6 month visa, multiple entry.
Nepal: Get visa at border (60 days), pay US$, bring photo.
China: Apply in advance, usually 30 days single entry, but possible to get longer, multiple entry. No visa needed for Hong Kong, so probably only need a single entry.
Vietnam: Apply in advance for a 30 day visa. Be careful - may be issued with specific entry/exit dates and places.
South Korea: None (90 days for Europeans, 30 days for Americans but can extend).
Japan: None (90 days)
