Electrical Engineering Manager - Provided engineering and project management for interantional turn-key Satellite Antenna Systems and Facilities. Developed construction and installation drawings and specifications. Specified and coordinated system componenets and materials procurement, fabrication, assembly, kitting, shipping and installation. Supervised designers, drafters and installers. Customers included Lockheed-Martin, JPL and NASA.
1992 - 1995 Honeywell (Commercial Buildings Division) - San Francisco, California
Design and Commissioning Engineer/Technician for turn-key FLSS and EMS for commercial buildings, hospitals and laboritories. Developed systems, equipment and installation drawings and specifications. Procured materials, scheduled and supervised installation. Coordinated with owners, contractors, consulting engineers, PG&E, fire marshals and municipal inspectors. Supervised and performed factory and site tests, systems commissioning, client verification and sign-off.
1989 - 1991 Silverman and Light, Inc. - Emeryville, California
Consulting engineering and project management services for architects and developers on commercial and hospital projects. Produced construction drawings and specifications for power, lighting, motor load and control, generators, UPS, FLS, AV, data-communications, isolated grounding and nurse call systems. Coordinated with other disciplines, contractors, utilities, municipal authoritties, ADA, OSHA, OSHPD, CAC Tile 24 and Title 22.
1987 - 1988 Johnson Controls (International Division) - Brisbane, California
Provided engineering, equipment submitall and testing of various FLSS and EMS for King Fahd International Airport and Peace Shield National Defense projects in Saudi Arabia.
1982 - 1986 Audio-Video, Inc. - Anchorage, Alaska
Designed, procured, installed and commissioned various turn-key AV systems including FLSS, PA, Security, CCTV, MATV, and Synchronous Clocks for commercial, municipal, institutional and industrial projects (mainly public schools and petro-chem facilities). Milestone projects include the Anchorage Performing Arts Center and Sullivan Sports Arena.
1973 - 1981 James Evans and Associates, Inc. - Phoenix, Arizona
Electrical drafter turned designer within electrical consulting arena. Worked on commercial projects including office high-rise, restaurants, hotels, schools, institutional and multi-housing projects. Started as drafter and worked up to senior designer. Milestone projects include The Phoenix Exhibition Center, Phoenix Police Headquarters, VA Hospital and State Capitol renovations and additions. (Mentor - James Evans)
I also have several years experience as an ISO 9001 manufacturing engineer interfacing with MRP and other departments including R&D, assembly, kitting, factory and site tests, shipping/receiving, and field support for international installations.
