Felicity's letter
I love this country, I fly the American flag on a regular basis, I have a deep spiritual faith. I support our troops. No political party has a lock on these beliefs. This is the most important election of our lifetimes.  We cannot say that all politicians are alike, equally bad, or become cynical and say it doesnt make a difference who is in the White House.  There are profound differences between the two candidates.

I support our troops, I want them to come home. I am a mom.  I dont want any of my five sons or daughter-in-law to have to fight in this war of Bushs choosing. Getting out of the war in Iraq as fast as possible will allow us to concentrate our efforts on making our own country safe, something we should have done to begin with.  It is not too late. We must garner support from our allies for our cause.  Our allies are angry with Bush for charging into this war with little support.  Only a new President will be able to turn this tide. A vote for John Kerry will realize this faster, with fewer American lives lost.

Many people care about the environment and painstakingly recycle.  You can accomplish more for the environment by voting for John Kerry.  The Bush Administration has already achieved the worst environmental record in history.  His administration has quietly and systematically rolled back over 300 environmental laws.  This administration has done so while naming laws the like of The Clear Skies Act.  This law has done the opposite and has set us back decades in our efforts to clean up our air.

I am voting for Kerry because I am an educator. Please know that the Bush Administration began a program called No Child Left Behind and then funded it by less than half they promised.  This program could be called No Child Left Untested.  It is not working.  Ask any teacher who teaches in the public schools. Education associations all over the country are calling for teachers to vote for John Kerry.  Dont let George Bush tell you otherwise. Our schools are desperately in need of real help.

I am voting for John Kerry because I want women to continue to be as strong and respected as they can be. Every individual in this country must be valued, not just a minority. I want the Supreme Court of the United States to be balanced for years to come.

If you are basing your vote on your religious beliefs, whoever is President of the United States, you will be able to worship and believe as you choose.  If you want to be able to live in a more peaceful world, with an environment that is protected, and schools that get the funding they deserve, vote for John Kerry.
