I just watched a story about a small village in our county, and all of the people in this village refused to change there clocks forward, from grennwich meantime to british summertime. -And it's strange, how an hour can mean so much, to so many people. To them and to us.

To us, the days are now longer and we can sit outside and watch the stars or play scrabble, or whatever it is we do before the sun falls behind the horizon. For them, i don't know? Was it just laziness, was there some truth in what they did or were they just looking for attention. Rest assured, whenever you want small stories about small things that are actually strangley significant, Look East.
This small village, it was stuck in sort of isolated time warp. The houses were all different and the gardens were all used and looked after, full of flowers and sleeping dogs. The phoneboxes were still red and there was no broken glass beneath them.. All of the young residents agreed with all of the old residents and they were all happy.

In the end of things, does it matter what their reasons were. Does it matter why they decided to leave work at the right time, but get back one our early. We created these measurments of time., surely they have the right to not use them quite the same as everyone else does. Just as some people refuse to use microwaves, even though they make it quicker to cook, they make the food taste awrful.

I just thought it was a nice story, it was their story. Significant or not significant, it didn't matter to me. It just made me smile, and maybe now i can look east for a while, and go outside.
