With the HT-6600DP, Sony has assembled a powerful home theater receiver, a 5-disc DVD/CD changer, five voice-matched speakers, and a powered subwoofer. They've already done the hard work of matching the components — all you have to do is hook it up, and enjoy!

The receiver decodes Dolby Digital® and DTS® soundtracks, and offers Pro Logic® II, which produces 5.1 sound from any 2-channel source. You also get an impressive 120 watts x 5 channels, and a tuner with 30 AM/FM presets. Plus, there are ample digital and analog inputs for hooking up other audio or video components. The separate 5-disc changer plays your DVDs, CDs, audio CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and MP3 CDs, along with a host of recordable DVD formats. It can also deliver a sharp progressive-scan picture to an HDTV-ready television!

The five video-shielded satellite speakers each employ a full-range 2-3/4" x 4" driver. The slim center channel speaker stands only 4-1/16" high for easy, unobtrusive placement above or below your television. And the 100-watt powered subwoofer fills in the low frequency rumble for rich, full-sounding movie soundtracks with convincing special effects.

The entire system features a sleek, silvery finish, so it's a great match for a newer Sony TV. Speaker wire, a digital audio cable, and a composite video cable are included (to view a progressive-scan DVD picture on your compatible television, you'll need to add a component video cable).
