What's going on in my life...........
November 18, 2000 - Yesterday, I picked up my Schedule of Classes Registration Guide for Spring 2001 and discovered that a couple of the education classes that I must take are only offered from 4:30 to 7 pm. It looks like I will be staying at school pretty late quite a bit next semester.
December 2, 2000 - Piggy, our wonderful guinea pig whom we were all growing to love more as each day passed, died on Friday, November 24, 2000. Heidi found her lying stiff and cold in her box. Two days prior to death, she hardly ate anything. Piggy is buried in our front yard with a little plaque over her grave.
December 13, 2000 - I've decided to go into secondary education instead of elementary. I've spoken with several people and think it would be better. My emphasis may be on educational technology. Now, I must change some of the classes I signed up for in Spring 2000 though.
December 20, 2000 - Even though it's vacation, there seems to be so many things to do. Nevertheless, life is going well. One thing that isn't too great though is the fact that with PAE, I can't drop or add any classes that I want to for the Spring Semester. I'll just keep on trying. I still don't know what I want my educational emphasis to be in though so that's been on my mind.. Today I worked from 8 - 4:30. Tam came back yesterday! :) I'll see her tomorrow. Oh, also, I received my first Christmas gift today from my "boss" at work. :) I'm happy. I don't think I'll get many presents this year, but I'm fine with that. :) T-hee. I suppose presents aren't as important as they used to be to me. But of course they're still nice. :)
December 30, 2000 - This has been a good week. Full of activity. I took my sisters to the beach this morning and I'm now off to go shopping with my parents at Ala Moana.
January 7, 2001 - I came back from the GenX Conference at Camp Erdman yesterday. It was excellent. Very high quality speakers and I learned a whole lot. Lots of new things to help me with my walk with God. Gee, school will start again tomorrow. Time seems to be just flying by.
January 11, 2001 - I think I have my schedule for Spring 2001 set now. Only four classes and a lab. Seems like this semester will involve a lot of work however. Academically, my year looks interesting. I think that I will enjoy ICS 101. It looks like I will be making another webpage. Today I went to see an Education advisor and I think I'll go with secondary education with an emphasis in physical science. It looks like I wont be applying to the college of Ed for at least another semester. Went to Waikiki this afternoon after classes with Tam. She will go back to Notre Dame at 5 pm on Saturday. Got back from InterVarsity's first meeting tonight. It is Megan's 21st, 22nd? birthday and Gavin's last InterVarsity meeting this semester. He's off to military training I think.
January 19, 2001 - So far, I'm pretty much enjoying my classes and keeping up okay. At work, I'm learning what the operaters do besides my office stuff so it's been pretty cool also. At this point in my life, I find college to be pretty good. I have a desire to learn as much as I can. Yesterday, a Japanese/English teacher came up to me while I was studying outside the student lounge and said that at my age, it's the best time to study -- eyesight is not too bad and my mind is still young. Also, I found out at IV yesterday that Michelle joined ROTC!
February 3, 2001 - Went to Discipleship 101 this morning. I was in a small group with Kenrick and Cherisse. Then Tai dropped me off at Punahou Carnival. Met up with my mom and sisters there. It was raining off and on. Hopefully, I'll get to see Left Behind. It came out in theaters today, I think?
February 18 2001 - Just got back from Camp Lanikamaha'o. It was a smaller InterVarsity group so whoever came got to know each other a little better -- that was the theme, "Intimacy with God and others." :) The ropes course was really fun as was hiking to the top of the mountain. Bathrooms were interesting too, but not too bad at all. They don't flush though so we throw peat moss in them. Pretty neat. People there.
March 4, 2001 - Had a womens' sleepover with InterVarsity at the staff house this weekend. Regina, Janelle, Connie, Connie, Amber, Tai-An, Q, Nick, and Brenda slept over. Tony and Min came but didn't spend the night. Garett, Youwan and Jim were also there since they live there but they didn't really bother us. :) The next day was Discipleship 101.
