Chris' TDM 850 Page

Welcome to my TDM 850 page. I dont have too much stuff on here yet but it will come. I bought a new TDM 850 '97 on July 3rd of this year. A month later I had already put 5000km on it. It is a pretty nice bike, although I do miss my previous bike sometimes, it was a Yamaha Virago 535 on which I had put 35.000km in two years, among which where the 8000km of my RoadTrip '95 that I did with my buddy Neal.

This bike is great for travelling: enough power for those dangerous situations, a big gas tank, good handling and I specially like that Givi hard luggage I mounted, hard luggage rules!

Trips

I haven't done any major trips with the TDM yet, but the time will come. Recent activities include:

• Several weekend trips to the Mainz-Frankfurt area (450 km x 2).
• A one week trip to Vienna. The distance from Amsterdam to Vienna is 1200km exactly which means 2 days to go and 2 days to come back - I cant do more than 850km per day, after that my brain switches off and the whole thing aint much fun anymore. I had a nice drive down on the second day, Mainz-Vienna, 770km, 10 hours in pissing rain.
