    Welcome to Colorwheel Rodentry.  We are located in central Maryland and have been breeding fancy pet rats since 2001.  I have been involved with rats since 1999 when I received my first rat as a high school graduation gift.
     I breed for temperment, health, type, and color.  I try to breed colorful, interesting-looking rats like rexes, hairless and dumbos.  I do not breed rats if they have any personality or health issues. 
     All of my rats are friendly and people oriented.  They get special homemade diets and are allowed time to roam outside the cages when supervized.  Most of them even know their names and come when called.
     I beleive rats are one of the best pets and are comparable to dogs in personality.  The main reason I breed my rats is to share these wonderful animals with others so they will know the joy of living with rats!
