Pinto

     Pintos are registered as one of four types, each of which has a division for horses and one for ponies.

Hunter Type: an English horse with the conformation of a Thoroughbred or Connemara Pony.

Pleasure Type: Primarily of Arabian, Morgan, or Welsh Pony breeding.

Saddle Type: an English horse of mostly Saddlebred, Tennessee Walking Horse, Hackney, or Modern Shetland Pony breeding that displays a high head carriage and animated action typical of these breeds.

Stock Type: a Western horse of Quarter Horse or original Shetland Pony type.

There is also a division for Miniature Horses.

Horses displaying evidence of draft, mule, or appaloosa breeding are not eligible for registration.
