SER uses: 1. Describes essential characteristics of a person, an object or an animal. 2. Denotes origin, material or ownership when followed by the preposition "de". 3. Tells time, and for dates. 4. Forms the passive voice. ESTAR uses: 1. Expresses location. 2. Expresses state or condition. 3. Forms the progressive tenses. |
