Thanks to my assistant coaches for helping out since I could not attend the tournament. After an up and down season the team ended as Congressional Cup Champions and the final record is 28-15-10. Thanks to everyone who helped out this year and good luck in the future.

The final game in the series against them will be Feb. 20th at their house. Please check the schedule page for some changes to the schedule. We've had a few reschedule and a few cancellations, beginning with today's game against the Flames. That game is cancelled so enjoy the Super Bowl! Happy Birthday to the following players who all celebrate in February: Brian Dixon (1st), Jay Sogliuzzo (2nd) and Geoff Durham (14th).

1/31/05---We lost a heartbreaker to the Bears Saturday night 5-3. The kids played great and were really pulling for each other but we just couldn't take the Bears down. We then fought back the next day and beat the Blues 7-1 on Sunday. That ends the league season. We finished 12-4-3 which is a great record but just not enough to finish for district playoffs. We still have non-league stuff all of February and we are working on a tournament to end the year out.

1/24/05---We dropped a tough one yesterday to the Bears 4-0. It was the first time our high powered offense was shutout all year. Check the recap page to read more about it. Practices Monday and Tuesday this week and then the rematch with the Bears Saturday night and then Sunday in Montclair to finish off the league season.

1/18/05---We won our league game Saturday night against the Penguins 8-3. Brian Dixon and Matt Daugherty both had hat tricks. We then lost a tough one to the Glaciers Sunday morning with only 9 skaters and a goalie. Check the recap page to see what happened in both games. We have 3 more league games remaining and the end of the season is heating up. Our next game is Saturday in Bridgewater against the Bears. Sunday's game is tentative. Check with the coaching staff or Dennis by the end of the week to see if it's still on. Happy Birthday to the following players who all have birthdays in the month of January: Mike Postorino (3rd), James Bellush (4th), Matt Daugherty (16th), and Matt Fullam (24th).

1/10/05---We took both games this weekend beating the Devils 7-3 in league play Saturday and beating the NJ Kings AAA 7-5 in a wild non-league game Sunday morning. The team looks fired up and ready for the home stretch. Practices are Monday and Friday this week. Friday's practice is 8-8:50pm. Please note the time change. Next weekend we're in action against the Penguins Saturday night in a league game and then Sunday non-league against the Glaciers.

1/3/05---We got back into action after a long break and the kids looked good in a 3-3 tie at Red Bank. It was a good non-league warmup game before we back into league action. Practices are Monday and Tuesday this week. We have the Devils (league) on the road Saturday at South Mountain and a non-league game against the NJ Kings Sunday morning at Pro Skate. We have 5 league games remaining and our fate is in our own hands. If we win all 5 we are guaranteed a spot in the district playoffs. Let's keep up the good support at the games and cheer this team on as they are that close.

12/20/04---We knocked off the first place Avalanche on Saturday 5-4 in an extremely exciting game. Check out the game recap to read all about it. Practice Tuesday and Thursday this week, Hackensack tournament is cancelled so our next game is January 2nd, non-league against the Generals. Everyone have a happy and safe holiday!!!

We dominated the entire weekend. Next week won't be nearly as easy however. We have the Avalanche Saturday night and a non-league test against the NY Stars on the road Sunday.

11/28/04---We traveled up to Binghamton this weekend and did very well in the Thanksgiving tournament. We finished 2-1-1 and didn't go to the championship game because of a tiebreaker after losing a tough one to Ithaca Sunday morning. Check the results page to read more about the game. 11/14/04---With high school tryouts starting tomorrow we played 2 intense games. We lost to the Hudson Valley Polar Bears 3-1 on Saturday and then tied the Avalanche again 1-1 on Sunday. This keeps us tied with the 'Lanche near the top of the league. Practice Tuesday and Wednesday this week and then Saturday at home against the Flames and Sunday on the road against the Jr. Phantoms. Good luck to everyone at high school tryouts.

11/7/04---Another good weekend for the Colonials as we beat up on the Penguins in a league game Saturday 6-2 with 56 shots on goal and then tied the Rockets AAA Minor team Sunday 2-2 in a really good, fast-paced game. Practice on Tuesday and Thursday this week and then a Silversticks rematch weekend with Saturday against the Polar Bears (the team that sent us home in the semifinals) and then the Avalanche in league play on Sunday.

10/31/04---We looked strong this weekend as we tied the American Eagles 2-2 on Saturday coming back from down 2 goals and could have easily won the game and then dominated the Jaguars 6-0 Sunday night. League record is now 4-1-1 heading into Saturday's matchup with the Penguins and then a non-league game Sunday against the Rockets AAA Minor. Practice on Monday and Tuesday this week. Check the recaps page for the game summaries.

10/24/04---We took both games this weekend winning 6-0 Saturday against the Bandits and 5-2 Sunday against the Devils. Some ugliness in both games as Drew Perry and Corey DeFranco were both suspended at the end of each game. Check out the recaps page for the breakdown of each game. Practice Monday and Tuesday at Mennen and league play continues next weekend, on the road against the American Eagles and at home against the Jaguars. Happy Birthday to Dave Magnollay who turned 14 on October 22.

10/17/04---We lost two tough ones this weekend as the beginning of this season continues to go up and down. We lost Saturday night to Brick 5-4 in a great game and then 5-3 Sunday morning against the AAA Major Tri State Selects. Both great games but just couldn't hang on. League play next weekend, both local games. Let's get some more support at the rink and cheer this team to right the ship!

10/10/04---We won both our games this weekend, first beating the Bandits 10-0 Friday night and then winning an exciting one at Mennen on Sunday against the Montclair Blues 8-3. It was a game where we fought back from a 2 goal deficit. If every game is as exciting as that one it should be a great year. Practice on Monday and Wednesday this week and two games next weekend. Saturday is a league game at home and Sunday is non-league on the road. Also we have some new pictures up from the Blues game including a team picture taken before the game.

10/3/04---We played the Jr. Phantoms AAA Major team in a 2 game series this weekend and showed up strong. We had two close games and ended up losing 5-3 in both games. This bodes well for the boys showing that they can stay with a AAA team. We resume AA play next weekend. Practice on Monday and Tuesday and then our final preseason game Friday night against the Bandits. Our first league game is Sunday afternoon at Mennen against the Montclair Blues.

9/25/04---We had a tough 4-3 loss last night against the Bears at BSA. It was a close game the whole way but we just couldn't execute the way we wanted. Check out the recaps page for the total breakdown of the game. No practice tonight (Saturday) and then practices on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Next weekend we play a home/home with the Jr. Phantoms AAA Bantam Major. It should be extremely good competition. The first game is at Mennen so let's get alot of support at the game.

9/19/04---We just got back from Silversticks and wow what a weekend. The team went 1-0-2 in the qualifying round, fighting hard for a chance to get in. After waiting in the lobby for what seemed like hours, the man with the marker wrote a 7th seed next to our name and we were all pretty excited. We played the Quakers early the next morning. They were pretty upset when we knocked them off 2-0 but ran into a tough Hudson Valley Polar Bears and lost 7-2 to the team that would eventually win it all. Tough loss but a good weekend overall as the team went 2-1-2. Check the recap page for all the highlights.

Practice tonight at Floyd Hall in Montclair, Goalie Clinics at Mennen on Wednesday and Thursday, and then SilverSticks this weekend in Philly. Dennis added a few games to the schedule for later on in the season so make sure you check for updates.

9/11/04---The team won their second game of the season today, 4-0 in the rematch against the Comets. Check out the recap page. They take their 2-0 record down to Philadelphia next weekend for the Silversticks tournament. It should be a lot of good competition. Congratulations to Mike Formichella for being named team captain, and Justin Sobieski, James Bellush and Brian Dixon who were named as the alternates.

9/7/04---The team has another game this Saturday, a rematch against the Comets. This time it will be at Mennen. The game is at 12:15pm so let's get some support from the fans for our home opener. USA Hockey Clinics on Tuesday and Friday this week along with a team practice Wednesday night at Aspen. Check back after every game to read game recaps and updated stats.

9/6/04---The team won their first game of the season yesterday when they traveled to the Lehigh Valley Ice Arena in Allentown, PA. They came out on fire and jumped out to an early 4-0 lead. It was 8-3 by the time it was all over. Things look optimistic for the AA team as they continue to go through the preseason eventually preparing for the league season in October. Check the Game Results section for the official scoring of the game.
