Game 7 vs. Polar Bears
Game 7: 9/19/04 vs. Hudson Valley Polar Bears

"Some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you." It's an old saying that seemed to play true for the Colonials as they went into Sunday afternoon pumped and primed but it just wasn't meant to be. The Cinderella run was in serious jeopardy as the Hudson Valley Polar Bears came out firing on all cylinders. The ice seemed tilted as nothing the Colonials did worked and the gas just ran out. They swarmed every line and every defensive pairing and before they knew it it was 6-0 in favor of Hudson Valley after only a period and a half. Buzz Sobieski and Jay Sogliuzzo (tipped off a Ryan Cassidy shot) was the only offense they managed to muster in what was an ugly game. It was one of those games you just want to forget about, throw all the film out and just move on. A humbling 7-2 loss to a team that would eventually go on to win the tournament but finishing in the final 4 was definitely something to be excited about. The Colonials went 2-1-2 overall in the weekend and bring their record to 4-1-2 overall.

Sobieski (Matarazzo)
Sogliuzzo (Cassidy)

Eric Visnovsky: 17 saves (6 goals allowed)
Geoff Durham: 19 saves (1 goal allowed)
