Game 4: 9/18/04 vs. Hatfield Ice Dogs
The Colonials looked to rebound the next morning after a tie that felt like a loss against a lower seeded Hatfield Ice Dogs. They had their full complement of players back and as the reinforcements arrived you could sense the sigh of relief on the bench and they played much better. The AA team came out on fire as they torched the Ice Dogs goalie. Drew "Bacon" Perry scored the first goal early in the game on a sniper shot to get his team going, assisted by Corey DeFranco and Matt Daugherty and they never looked back. James Bellush put in the next one on the power play as he moved in from the point and roofed it up and over the goalie, with an assist by Nick Ferris. Perry scored again as did Brian Dixon, both unassisted to make it 4-0. The rout was on and there was no stopping red, white and blue this game. Daugherty put in one of his own, assisted by DeFranco and Perry, and then Corey was rewarded after being the assist man all day with a goal. Perry finished with two goals and two assists, and Mike Postorino added the nail in the coffin to make it 7-0 and seal the deal. Geoff Durham stood tough with 16 saves for the shutout.
