Game 46 vs. Ice House Avalanche
Game 46: 2/20/05 vs. Ice House Avalanche (L 3-2)
The Colonials were still reeling from their ugly loss the night before where the effort was just not there and had to face a tough Avalanche team on the road the next day. They had owned the season series so far against them with a record of 2-0-2 and the Hackensack team was out to turn that around. The Colonials still looked shaky as they continue to slump early on in games. The Avalanche scored a goal per period to jump out to a 3-0 lead in the third. The Colonials looked flat all weekend and just couldn't seem to get anything going. That would all change in the third period however thanks to defenseman Jordan Tucci. Tucci took a pass from Drew Perry and took it into the offensive zone and tried to feather a pass across the crease but it somehow bounced in for the first Colonials goal. A few minutes later Tucci saved a clearing attempt at the point and fired a shot that went off the goalie's glove and in to cut the lead to 3-2. It was too little too late however and the Colonials could not mount any more pressure and the game ended 3-2. The Colonials fall to 22-15-9 on the year.
