Game 23 vs. Lawrence Flames
Game 23: 11/20/04 vs. Lawrence Flames (W 7-1)

When Mike Postorino walked into Mennen Arena Saturday night for a league game against the Flames, I doubt he predicted he would have one of the best offensive outputs from a forward all season. The Colonials would actually be missing three players for this game (Brian Dixon, Matt Daugherty and Steve Genualdi) but you would not even have noticed because they came out strong and showed no signs of slowing down. Assistant captain Buzz Sobieski opened up the scoring by netting the first two of the game, both off of nice rebounds and setups in front of the net. After he put his team up 2-0 Postorino would take over from there. He would score the next 4 straight goals giving him the natural hat trick and then some. Two of those goals were on the power play, assisted by Dave Magnollay and Anthony Matarazzo, and the other two even strength, one off a tip shot from Ryan Cassidy and the other a nice feed from Magnollay again in front of the net. It was 6-0 and the icing on the cake would come from Corey DeFranco who received a pass from Jay Sogliuzzo in the high slot and buried it past the goalie's glove. The game would end 7-1 and the Colonials would take a convincing league victory as the shot total was 45-8. Note: The Flames had 0 shots in the second period. Eric Visnovsky came just 7 minutes away from the shutout and was denied it but still played strong in the net either way.
