Here are Joan's crabs in the bath staging area. We give all of the crabs a bath together and let them play afterwards.
Here you can see a crab being dunked in the lukewarm, non-chlorinated, water. The rest of the crabs have been dunked and are running around, drying off.
Here is the bowl of bath water for the crabs. I make sure that the bath water is lukewarm. I figure it wouldn't be nice to dunk the crabs into freezing water! That is Goliath sitting next to the bowl. On this particular night, Goliath switched shells after having his bath. He has since switched back.
As you can see, the crabs can get very active during bath time. I let them run around on a towel while they dry off. Sir Crabs-a-lot (bottom right) was running around, but I startled him with the camera.
