Take The Tour!!
The first thing you notice as you walk down the sandy path lit by coconut torches is a reddish glow, which gradually becomes clear - a flashing sign above the path:
It's a good sign, and a sign of good things too!!
Your first glimpse of the building through the palm trees is misleading - because you can't really see the building at first! It's surounded on all sides by pools, most of them containing bars!
And what's a pool without a waterfall? There are plenty of those around, for frolicking! Like this one:
This pool is especially beautiful by night! And just past it, you can see the main building. Why don't we head inside to see what else Aby's Lair has to offer beyond watersports?
Actually, the first things you come to are more bars! Major Abydos just loved being the bartender at Gee's Gutter Guest House, so it only stands to reason there would be bars in the Beach House too!
But these are just a tad more formal - I mean, you are expected to wear a little more than a swimsuit here, but you're welcome either way! And, of course, the specialty of the house in all the bars is Major Abydos' famous long cool Daniel - as she says, nothing better than a stiff Daniel to make you feel on top of the world!
You can drink al fresco in the garden bar, or just pretend to be outside in the atrium bar, complete with fully grown palm trees (perfect for those very occasional days when it's raining), or you can go upmarket and check out the very elegant piano bar.
Of course, the reason most people come to Aby's Lair is for the sheer romantic ambiance of a beach house, especially when you are with that some-clone special. As with any first class resort, there are some quiet places to sit and wait, whether it's for your room to be made up, or for your table to be ready for dinner. Or even if you are waiting for that special some-clone to arrive!
Just relax and let the specially trained staff of clones attend your every need!

When Colonel Nepi told me how much Major Abydos had spent on building her Lair, I was seconds away from ordering a court martial! Fortunately Colonel Nepi knows just how to defuse my temper (in this case, generous libations of whiskey and a neck rub) and I calmed down long enough to attend the grand opening and take the tour. I am astounded at how beautiful this place turned out - although I am unsurprised, given the money Major Abydos has poured into it! And I though Major Gee and I had done a good job on the Honeymoon Headquarters! In fact, it is wholly and solely the fact that Major Abydos has no honeymoon suites here that has saved her from that court martial (that and the fact that she's promised me my choice of suites every time I want to bring Colonel Nepi here for a weekend away - rank doth have its privileges!).
