Description: Hammer is the Sea Bandits' executive officer,
and the Air Operations Officer of the 18th MEU.
He is a very strict, disciplined Marine who takes
his responsibilities seriously, but is capable
of humor and relaxation when they are appropriate.
Like Kelly, Hammer is an accomplished fighter pilot,
with much experience planning deep-strike missions
in such diverse locales as Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hammer and Kelly have a deep friendship, going back to
when Hammer served as Kelly's XO in the VFMAT-107
Sharpshooters. As such, he is completely loyal to
both Kelly and the Corps. However, he does become
annoyed when Major Griffin goes over his head to the
Skipper, and makes it clear on such occasions that
there is a chain of command and that Chaser will follow
it. Hammer is also not completely comfortable with the
former Sea Dragons, but his professionalism prevents
him from displaying his misgivings to anyone except
his commanding officer.
