Description: Cipher is the Sea Bandits' computer and
reconnaissance expert, and one of their three ground
assets. Being the technology whiz that he is, Cipher
could easily have left the Corps for a civilian career,
but he loves the Marines and his teammates too much to
leave them. Due to his love of technology, Cipher
branched off from computers to reconnaissance, using
his technical knowledge to marry the right gadgets to the
correct mission. His skills served the Sea Dragons well
on multiple occasions, and are extremely valuable to the
Sea Bandits also.
Unfortunately, Cipher's personal life has not gone as
smoothly as his professional one; he impregnated his
girlfriend in high school at age 17. While he loves
his son, Christopher, with all his heart, he does not
get to spend much time with the boy due to his Marine
duties. Also, he is not married to the boy's mother,
which increases the tension in the "family." This
situation, however, does not prevent Cipher from wanting
a loving woman like any other man; indeed, at one point
he was ready to transfer to Korea to be with a woman he
met there while on assignment with the Sea Dragons.
Fortunately, however, his fellow Dragons were able to
talk him out of it, and he returned to the States.
Cipher did some reconnaissance work with Burner shortly
after the latter Marine turned in his wings, and as such,
he is the most comfortable of the former Sea Dragons with
his new teammates. He and Burner always are trying,
though not always successfully, to bridge the gaps
between the groups.
