It is now some eight years since our 1:64 scale NZR Bulk Cement/Flour Container kits were last in production.we were having problems with some of the moulds so the line was discontinued, however in the last year we have been getting asked quite frequently if we are going to be reintroducing the kits again.Recently we decided to dig out the old moulds and see if they were salvageable, they were and both kits are now once again in production. For those modellers who are not familiar with the kits they are plastic Injection Moulded models of the bulk Cement and Bulk Flour containers which ran over the NZR system the kit comes complete with pallet,for easy removal from waggons by forklift.The Pallet is now supplied as a one piece whitemetal casting and the kit comprises sufficient parts to construct two containers. A photo of a completed kit is shown below along with views of the prototype.Note:- not all of the prototype containers were on pallets,some were bolted directly to waggons,usually in pairs.
