Past Issues
Colloidal Oatmeal #1 Summer 2001
  Half legal size.  Status: *unavailable
The very first issue of Colloidal Oatmeal ever.  It may be big, but not of the best quality.  I was still trying to work out "the way of the oatmeal."
Most everything was written/drawn at my job as a secretarial assistant.  I never had any real work to do there, so i decided to get in a project or two of my own.

Included is the only explanation so far as to why i named my zine Colloidal Oatmeal: "Colloidal Oatmeal is a good name for this zine because I like it.  I think it sounds funny.  Colloidal oatmeal is also something that is very beneficial, just like this zine.  Look at what people are saying today about colloidal oatmeal:
A raw oatmeal that's been ground to a fine powder, colloidal oatmeal is considered by many medical and herbal specialits to be effective in relieving and managing dry, itchy skin.  It is nonirritating and soothing. In certain medications,  colloidal oatmeal acts as a skin protectant because of its barrier-like properties.

Colloidal Oatmeal #2 Autumn/Winter 2001
   Odd shaped.  Status: **Semi-available.  $1.50
Issue two was a little bit more put together than issue one, hence why it is still available for purchase.  Even though the cover didn't quite turn out how i would have hoped, i still greatly enjoy it.
The Vicious Fishy and Silly Cillia make some appearances, as well as the
Raucous Tea Party Moose.  Some guest comic artists who also happen to be friends of mine make their print-debuts here.
Writings on not feeling, the death of Ethel the plant, sleep walking, confusion, open windows, and being locked in the dark room at the photo lab.
Colloidal Oatmeal #3  Spring 2002
   Odd shaped.  Status: Semi-available. $1.50
Issue three has been proclaimed by readers as the best yet in the series.
Many more of the comics that you love, including the very first comic my 6 year old brother ever drew.
Thoughts on social anxiety, doves, finishing up a journal and the mixed feelings that came along with that.  Plus, your chance to collect the colloidal oatmeal trading cards!
Colloidal Oatmeal #4 Summer 2002
     Odd shaped. Status: Semi-available $1.50
Most of the comics this time are based on events that have happened in my life.  One such new series is Adventures in Waitressing, which focuses on the weird things that revolved around my job as being a waitress at a Greek resturant over the summer.  Old comic favorites are also featured, such as The Vicious Fishy, and Silly Cillia.
Also included are writings on my fears of abandonment, excerpts from the travel journal i kept on my trip to New York City this past May, a fake newspaper article on the not-so-fake Wallaby Murders that occured at South Bend's Potowatomi Park Zoo, and thoughts on being quiet.
*unavailable: no more copies left, no more will be made
