The perfect thing to use for this project is a hat case & if wanting to make a wedding cake stack then use different size hat boxes....BUT I did not have any hat boxes that I could use for this. So I used a piece of styrofoam. I taped it to a cake board.
Then I cut posterboard & taped 2 pieces together to make it long enough to go around the cake board. I glued the posterboard to the cake board & then duct taped it togethr to go around the cake board. The piece of styrofoam was square so I crumpled up newspaper & stuffed it inside around the the styrofoam. Thgen I taped the top & bottom with tape. Like packing tape. Then I started to paper mache the whole thing. I have 2 more layers to add of paper mache & then I will start on the next part of the project. |
