The story (actually originally written by The 400 Blows writer/director Francis Truffaut) is classic genre noir stuff. After stealing a car and killing a cop, Michel Poicard (Jean-Paul Belmondo) goes to paris to meet an american girl named Patricia who he had the hots for. They meet and he romances her. She takes him in and hides him from the police, but then, soon after, the police begin to tighten in on him. He decides to go down in a blaze of glory like his hero, Humphrey Bogart, but will he take patricia down with him?
If you love movies, and especially if you love the French New Wave, thsi movie seriously is a must see.
