The story of this movie is very simple, as it should have been. The overall symbolism of the story would be lost if Einstein tried to put in a very complicated story or characters. What we have here is cinema in it's best and most pure form, something that makes you want to go out and start a riot. Yes!
Something you should probaly know: pretty much every action movie ever made owes a large debt to this one. The odessa steps sequence (which is so famous, every damn film class in the world has analyzed it to all hell), is a great lesson intercutting and monotage. See it and know what I mean. Hell, see it and think I'm a gimp, I don't care, just see it.
